Our company has expertise regarding nutrition counseling for mothers before, during, and after pregnancy; for children and infants; for people dealing with chronic medical conditions including, cholesterol and diabetic; for people with general weight loss or weight gain issues; and other similar nutrition related problems.
Many people in Ethiopia, especially mothers and children are severely vulnerable for nutrition related problems. Many don’t have the adequate resources to undergo a healthy lifestyle. And those who have the resources lack the knowledge and information to make the right nutritional decisions.
The first 1000 days in an infant’s life are very critical. Mothers are frequently confused on how to feed their infants. Pre pregnancy, during pregnancy and post pregnancy health and nutrition guidelines are not prevalent in Ethiopia’s health context. Investing in mothers and children’s life has a dramatic result in a macroeconomic scale that may transform the nation’s future.

Our counseling service that focuses on mothers typically directs pregnancy follow up, training on breastfeeding, counseling on optimal child feeding, self-care, and various essential nutritional actions tailored to meet mothers, infants and children well-being.

LeHem’s vision is to significantly reduce nutritional risk and its impact on human health, particularly in Ethiopia. By developing a system that fits well with the Ethiopian lifestyle; with an accessible, sustainable, and life-changing program; we want to raise awareness of the nutritive value of foods and also strengthen our healthy eating habits.
Bethlehem is a professional nutrition expert/food scientist and founder of LeHem Nutrition Counseling Plc. She provides nutrition and healthy life related coaching and counseling to people dealing with weight loss or weight gain, chronic medical conditions, pregnant women, children, and individuals facing various nutrition related problems.
She is a proud graduate from Addis Ababa Science and Technology University in food science and applied nutrition. Bethlehem is also the CTO and Co-founder of BeNu Foods, a startup biscuit company that aims to produce a healthy, nutritional, and affordable local based product for the community.
She is enthused in serving the community by participating in different charity groups. She has previously served as a Community service director, professional development director, and Vice president at Rotaract club of Lewet. She has also served as a Maternal Nutrition Consultant at Nutrition 4 Education and Development Association (N4ED)
